Covert Crafting
Mission Statement
For years and years, yarn crafts have been described by the mass media as “grandma stuff” “old fashioned” “kitschy.” We at Covert Crafting are here to show that we as yarn crafters are so much more than that. We are artists, innovators, rebels and visionaries. This website will chronicle our mission to help bring crochet and knitting to the street art scene.

A Call to Arms
ATTENTION ALL CRAFTERS:
We at Covert Crafting have a mission for you. We intend on bombing a park in Central California during the week of Valentine's Day. This will be the first major yarn bombing in Central California. We need pieces to incorporate into our instillation. This is the time to get rid of the swatch pieces laying around your crafting space. Or use up those scrap balls left over from projects. Maybe practice a new pattern, even if you don't like it we are sure to cherish it. We would be happy to receive anything; scarves, squares, blankets, amigurumi and especially hearts. To send pieces please email us at covertcrafting at gmail dot com for the address. Just some shipping advice, those flat rate shipping boxes and envelopes and fit quite a bit of yarn items. We would like all pieces to be received before February 9th 2011. If you like to help but are unable to pay for shipping, we do have a few dollars to spare and can send a PayPal shipping label to you, just email us, supply is limited.
If you are in the Monterey County area and would like to help install the yarn art please contact us at covertcrafting at gmail dot com.
Help spread the word that yarn crafts are not just for grandmas.
